Ibiza Summer Look w/ MyTheresa

13. Juni 2019

ENGNow that I am back from Ibiza, I’d like to show you one of my favorite looks today. Together with MyTheresa I was able to create a summer look, which turned out to be a little more colorful than my usual attire, but I really just couldn’t resist this beautiful shade of green. Working with MyTheresa is a long-term partnership, which is why I try to create looks that capture the variety of the luxury online shop has to offer with every outfit I choose. In reality I do visit the online shop every day, and currently it is even more worth it, since the summer-sale has started with up to 50% off.

But let’s get to the look now, which I styled very ‘Aylin like’ oversized, with a Three Graces London dress. The dress has a fantastic design for all oversized lovers, brilliant colours and can be worn with absolutely any kind of waist belt. To go with this, I chose a LOEWE bast-bag for Ibiza, which is sold out almost everywhere already, but still available on MyTheresa, so be quick! The bag isn’t only the perfect companion for a day by the beach, but also spices up any summer look. I furthermore chose a pair of CELINE sunglasses, which has become my favorite pair of sunglasses already. I finished the look with a Balenciaga Heel, and the perfect summer outfit was ready.

Here you can also find my sale favorites.

Ibiza Must-do‘s

8. Juni 2019

My loves, as you have probably seen in my Instagram stories, Tobi and I were in one of our favorite places: Ibiza! A special highlight is that we got to spend time with friends this time around, since Karin from constantly_k and her husband were here too. As always this time was very special to us and we liked to use it to talk about work, but also recharge before the Fashion Week season will kick off with Berlin FW in July.
Now I want to talk a little bit about the highlights of this trip. As always we spent a lot of time with shooting new content but without missing all the assets of the island. The sun, the Mediterranean flair and the beautiful old town are only a few of the characteristics that make Ibiza one of my absolute favorites.
Since I got a lot of requests on Instagram about where I like to spend my time on the island, I have put together a small list with my personal highlights – and as always I am so happy to read your messages with recommendations and the small jewels of the island that I might have not discovered yet.

We oftentimes have our regular hotels that we go during travels around the world, but in Ibiza is a great choice of beautiful places to stay.
The Nobu has been one of our absolute favorites for a long time and it tops anything in terms of quality and luxury. The large pool area, the modern rooms and the location is a dream. Even though the 5-star hotel isn’t quiet cheap you live in a dreamy flair and definitely get your money’s worth.

Sir Joan

The Sie Joan is the perfect spot if you are looking to reach the highlights of the island by foot. Another plus is also that the most popular club of the island, the Pascha is very close by. Still, the hotel is a great place to relax too!

Na Xamena

The Hacienda Na Xamena is a 5-Star resort which fulfills any wish in terms of luxury, quality, service and design. Besides the many athletic activities you can pursue all day long, you can also take extensive sunbathes on the private terraces. The modern rooms aren’t only stylish but also offer private swimming areas with a pool, sun lounges and your own private dream-view.

Seven Pines

Another highlight is the Seven Pines, which is perfect for families, couples and even friends traveling together. With the large pool area it offers so much space to swim and relax, but the best thing about the hotel is it’s location: right by the impressive cliffs of the island it offers a breathtaking panorama.

La Granja

Culinarily you will definitely be satisfied. Even though I have my personal favorites – you have guessed it, Spaghetti Bolognese – I love trying new small and large restaurants and test local specialities. The Farmer’s Table is very famous for the ability to transform the farms biodynamic bounty into slow food for the communal table.

Located right by the Harbour of Ibiza the Calma Bistro doesn’t only offer a beautiful view but also the perfect vacation atmosphere. The Mediterranean kitchen is completely recommendable, and the price-performance ratio is also really great. The Calma convinces both during the day but especially at night with the view over the Harbour of the old town.

One of my favorite restaurants in Hamburg is the Izakaya, and lucky me – there has been one in Ibiza for a while now too. The restaurant combines the best Asian kitchen with South American influences. Even though it may be a little more expensive it is definitely worth trying the extensive menu!

La Oliva

At the top end of Ibiza in one of the small streets of the old town there is my restaurant highlight: the La Oliva. The small and intimate restaurant is surrounded by local boutiques and captures the magic of the narrow streets perfectly. The menu offers something for anyone – you will love this place for its atmosphere and the Burratina spaghetti!

La Brasa

In the midst of the old town is one of my absolute favorite restaurants: the La Brasa. The beautiful backyard and the lengthy wine menu as well as the romantic ambience make for the perfect end to a long day in the sun. The price-performance ratio is absolut alright too. But be careful – the restaurant is so popular amongst tourists and locals that you should make a reservation!

Beach clubs:

El Chiringuito

This Beach Club is the perfect location for a morning by the beach. In the morning you can have a relaxed breakfast in the lounge area, and move to a lounge afterwords or a daybed by the beach, where you can just soak in the sun. There’s not only fresh Sangria for lunch, but also iberian ham and ailoli, while the live DJ plays tunes, and you can enjoy the mediterranean flair in the restaurant area of the beach club fully. In addition to that there are sales ladies by the beach that present light summer dresses and swimwear – you will find everything you need here.

Experimental Beachclub

This Beach Club convinces with its beautiful lounge area and the panoramic view. You can reach the water through a specific spot and there is no immediate connection from the beach to the water. Still, there is a special flair, and you can have your food and drink orders brought to the sun lounges and shop the Ibiza-typical sundresses in a separate area alongside the bar. It is smaller than the El Chiringuito, but there is definitely a relaxed atmosphere.

Sa Trinxa

The ‘Sa Trinxa’ is a beach bar at the beach of Salinas, and doesn’t have its own dance floor. The bar is best described with words such as traditional, relaxed and colorful, there is live music from the DJ and very interesting people. It is less about the luxury, but much more about the character of the island and the typical Ibiza-vibe of the people. The beach offers sun lounges and there is a huge area to relax, which creates the perfect mix of a modern, minimalist lounge bar and a wide beach.

Amante Beach Club

This Beach Club is my favorite one. It’s located in a cliff direct to the beach with several grounds for the guests. The day beds guarantee a very high comfort, the lunch area is also very cozy and idyllic. Everything at Amante is connected with a great service and pure relaxation.

To Do:

Visiting the old town Eivissa

Even though I am an absolute lover of the sun, I also like exploring my surroundings when I travel. Even though we have been to Ibiza many times before and it feels as though I know most of the island, visiting the old town is a highlight every time. The narrow streets, boutiques and bars that are spread along the cobble streets make any vacationing heart skip a beat. At the highest point right by the fortress you have a breathtaking view over the island and the ocean – so the exhaustion of the climb is definitely worth it.

Es Vedra

The rocky island that rises from the ocean on the west coast of Ibiza is absolutely worth seeing. If you’d like to explore the small island further, visiting the beach Cala d’Hort is a great idea to watch it from there or take a small boat tour.

Las Dalias

Las Dalias makes any shopping fan heart skip a beat. The hippie market is one of my absolute must-do’s in Ibiza. The colorful market booths are the perfect location on Saturday’s and in the high season even during the week to dive into the island’s hippie culture, and during the night it has a special charm too. The many handmade souvenirs, dresses and jewelry that you can buy here aren’t only beautiful keepsakes, but oftentimes completely unique too. As you can tell, I am a huge fan.

Another must-do for all fans of Ibiza and Mallorca is a trip to Formentera. Time seems to have stopped at this balearic island and especially nature lovers will not be disappointed here. Simply the ferry trip is a highlight in itself and if you like it sporty you can explore the island on a bicycle. We love spending a day here when we are in the area – and I can really only recommend it to anyone.

Ibiza & Formentera | my favorite places

17. Juni 2018

ENG: Even though we have been to Mallorca, especially in Palma more times than here – our hearts are secretly beating for Ibiza. It is hard to explain, but the atmosphere on the island and the ‘spirit’ are something very special to us. We have been on the island in the summer of 2017 already, and have published an article about our experiences back then.
Today I would like to share my personal ‘Top 13’ of recommendations and insider-tips, which we just loved. One more thing: Ibiza is known worldwide for its wild parties and known DJs that play in the large and famous clubs. But instead of partying, we chose to have a relaxed holiday with friends and want to show you some beach clubs, restaurants and excursions, which are all things we have seen and enjoyed.

ENG: The ‘La Brasa’ is in Eivissa, the old town of the island. It is a spanish restaurant with a huge wine selection and an idyllic backyard, which makes you want to stay all night. You should definitely make a reservation ahead of time, because the restaurant is popular amongst locals and tourists. Also, the cost-performance ratio is absolutely fair and conclusive.

ENG: We went to ‘La Oliva’ twice. The small restaurant is also located in the old town, and more specifically in a small alley that leads up to the cathedral and the fort at the upper end of the city Ibiza. The restaurant is rather understated, but has so much charme due to it’s outdoor area and the surrounding boutiques. The menu isn’t as big as the one from ‘La Brasa’, but still anyone will find something here. Anyone who likes to be surrounded by people and wants fun while eating – this is the place for you.

ENG: The ‘Izakaya’ is located within the Sir Joan Hotel and in walking distance to the harbor. It is a modern, asian restaurant with numerous sushi-creations and south american influences. The service is amazing and the quality incredible, and it is so much fun to try everything on the menu and get to know completely new taste experiences. The Izakaya is currently not only in Ibiza, but also in Hamburg, Munich and Amsterdam. Even if it’s a little expensive, the gourmets should definitely pay this place a visit: It is worth it!

ENG: I think the ‘La Paloma’ is an absolute top secret tip. Located in the middle of the island in a small village, with dreamy surroundings filled with lemon trees and mediterranean gardens, you can enjoy home-cooked meals and dive into the relaxed atmosphere.

ENG: Overall there are six of the so-called ‘Passion Cafés’. If you are breakfast lovers you will definitely not be disappointed here. From shakes to smoothies, pancakes and bowls you can enjoy everything here to start your day happily after a long night of parties.

ENG: This Beachclub is the perfect location for a morning by the beach.

ENG: The ‘Experimental Beachclub’ convinces with its beautiful lounge area and the panoramic view. You can reach the water through a specific spot and there is no immediate connection from the beach to the water. Still, there is a special flair, and you can have your food and drink orders brought to the sun lounges and shop the Ibiza-typical sundresses in a separate area alongside the bar. The Experimental Beachclub is smaller than the El Chiringuito, but there is definitely a relaxed atmosphere.

ENG: The ‘Sa Trinxa’ is a beach bar at the beach of Salinas, and doesn’t have its own dance floor.

ENG: The Nobu Hotel is a 5-star hotel, which fulfills every wish in terms of service and quality. The bright and modern rooms, a huge pool area, sun lounges by the beach and attentive service make every visitor’s heart beat faster. The hotel definitely isn’t cheap, but you have the perfect service around the clock and can relax perfectly.

Sir Joan

ENG: The ‘Sir Joan’ belongs to the same building complex as the Izakaya. The hotel offers 38 rooms and suits, and has a lot to offer in terms of architecture and interior design. It is a very modern and exclusive hotel, which is in walking distance to one of the most popular clubs on the island, the Pascha, but is also the perfect place to sit back and relax. For visitors that are looking to visit all the hotspots of the island, the hotel is in the perfect walking distance to them and the ideal location to connect with cool and modern people.

Old Town

ENG: Every visit to the island requires a visit to the old town. From the harbor up to the fort there are numerous small alleys with boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Especially from the height of the fort you have a wonderful view of the harbor and the nature of the island. The old town’s maze of alleys offer great locations for photo shoots – and they all lead to the top. In addition to that there are big yachts arriving at the harbor regularly, that you can marvel at while shopping alongside the promenade.

ENG: Who doesn’t know them the hippies of the 60s and 70s that lived by their motto of ‘enjoying life’. Not only the boutiques in the old town and the sales ladies by the beach, but especially on the island’s hippie market you can really dive into the hippie-culture. There are numerous hippie markets, but our favorite is the so-called ‘Mercadillo-Hippy – Las Dalias’. The market takes place all year long on Saturdays, and in the high season even during the week – and as a night market. Many call this market the most authentic hippie-market of the island.

ENG: If you are Mallorca-fans and Ibiza is close to your heart, there is another wonderful place in the Baleares: Formentera.
It feels like time has stopped moving on this island, and especially nature-lovers will adore this place. There are hidden bays and dreamy beaches, and you can explore the island with a bike or a taxi, which are really cheap. You will not be disappointed by the Formentera-feeling, simply the ferry ride to the island is joyous.

black & blue in Ibiza

7. Juni 2018

Processed with VSCO with e5 preset

ENGTo me there is almost no shooting location more beautiful than the old town of Ibiza. Every little street has their own, very special charme and combines ‘the new’ with ‘the old’ in a unique way. I love wearing simple and comfortable clothes when I am on holiday, but I still think the look needs a special piece to it. For today’s outfit I went for a oversized kimono with dots, loose denim shorts and a knotted top. In addition I wore my beloved Gucci Princetown Loafers, which I have neglected for a while and the perfect Gucci bag, which I borrowed from dear Karin.
Unfortunately I can’t find it online anymore, but I will keep my eyes open, since its perfect to combine in any outfit, and can be worn crossbody and as a belt bag.

Have you been to Ibiza and do you like this look?

Bally retro sneaker with an all white look in Ibiza

3. Juni 2018

ENGWe are currently in Ibiza, which is one of our favorite islands ever, since everything just comes together in the best way possible: the mediterranean flair, the positive attitude of the people, the historic old town with its little cafes and boutiques, but even in terms of fashion and lifestyle Ibiza is just unbelievably inspiring.
The small streets of the old town are the perfect surrounding for photo shoots, which is why I put the newest addition to my closet to work straight away.
In this case it’s a pair of the new Bally retro sneaker, which are available in a new design after their first edition in 1974. Bally was founded in 1851 in Switzerland and has been a premium seller of high quality women’s and men’s shoes for a long time.
The wide range of Bally products includes besides exclusive shoes bags, accessories and even clothes. Personally I am a great fan of the variety and quality of the shoes, which is why I wasn’t able to choose between the designs again. Eventually I went for the ankle top version The Vita Parcours’ and I am really happy with it. The sneaker is incredibly comfortable, made from soft leather and with a pleasant footbed. I am also a fan of the idea behind the shoes, as well as the design, which is why I went for a stylistic inconsistency with the outfit combination: A white, long skirt with slit and the simple shirt, worn with a knot are the perfect accessories for me to create a look and still preserve the charme of the retro sneaker. To make the look perfect, especially on an island like Ibiza, I decided to add my beloved leopard print headband and the obligatory pair of sunglasses. Take a look at Bally’s retro sneaker collection, which is a mix of classic forms and modern details and really cool designs – I think the pieces are incredibly well designed and something I can only recommend. Now back to you:

Do you like the combination of the look and how do you feel about the sneaker? I am always excited about your feedback!

Ibiza | Review

2. Juli 2017

ENG: Based on your many requests concerning my impressions and recommendations in the context of our Ibiza trip last week, I would like to share a review of my personal highlights. From the beginning I have to mention, that we could only spend a few days on the Balearic Island and therefore the further statements are just concerned to my own experiences.
We slept in the ME Ibiza hotel, located in close connection to the beach of Santa Eulalia in the island’s East. The hotel is very exclusive and stylishly furnished, especially the minimalistic design and lifestyle character served to leave a lasting impression.

26. Juni 2017

ENG: Back from Ibiza, we are already in London and looking forward to having some nice days in this breathtaking city. Nevertheless I would like to emphasize to what extent we felt in love with this small Balearic Island and for this reason there will follow an own post about our time, special moments and recommendations. There are lots of relaxing bays, domestic restaurants and trendy hippie markets, that have to be shared and we would like to do so in our own manner soon. :-)

Favorites of the week

To Do: As I have already mentioned above, we are currently staying in London in order to spend our time from tomorrow on with Net-A-Porter at the lovely Soho Farmhouse. It will be an athletic and very international day, therefore we are already looking forward to having two exciting and thrilling days. From Thursday morning on, I will take a flight to Greece for being part of the launch of the new Sani Dunes Resort (6 stars hotel) in the context of a press trip with some other influencer. Of course I am looking forward to the amazing hotel, other girls and brands as well as the summery feeling on the Greek islands. Your favorite post of the weekIBIZa city look | Gucci Marmont Bag

New In: Even if the speculation, that I have been very active concerning my shopping activities on Ibiza, I have to disappoint you. Just a statement shirt from Mango is now my own, in addition to that I have already told you via Instagram from the new „Kenzo World“ summer fragrance being available since the 1st June this year. I am totally keen on the freshness and easiness of the perfume, the pleasant touch of peonies and jasmine is very beneficial and especially with regard to the summer a grateful refreshment. Have you already seen the amazing campaign video on Youtube? The video has more than 6 million views and is more than worth seeing, however I can really recommend it.

Have a lovely week!

Zimmermann | Ibiza |Aylin x Net-A-Porter

25. Juni 2017

ENG: At the moment I am sitting in the rainy Hamburg and I think wistfully back to our amazing time on Ibiza. We were pampered with a lot of sun, lovely people and an incredibly nice island, so that this was certainly not our last stay on the Balearic Island.
Today I would like to show you one of my most preferred looks from Ibiza, that suits perfectly to the island based on its „Bohemian character“. I am wearing a dreamful Zimmermann dress being an achievement from my collaboration with Net-A-Porter and the new vacation shop #JetAPorter, a dream in White with lots of details and a high-quality processing. Appropriately I have decided for my beloved Dolce & Gabbana bag being on sale by the way, and my all time favorites, the MIU MIU sandals. With regard to my preference for all kinds of accessories, I have converted a Fendi cloth to a ribbon and grabbed the oversized statement sunglasses by Chloé for getting that certain something within this outfit. All in all a very detailed look, that has a huge comfort factor.
On Instagram I have already shown you several #JetAPorter looks and even in July there will follow further ones from my partnership with Net-A-Porter, that I would like to share with you further on. Tomorrow we are going to head to London, where we will be hosted from NAP on Wednesday for an exciting event and of course I will take you with me these days via Instagram and Co.

What do you think about this outfit? Happy Sunday!

IBIZA city look | Gucci marmont bag

21. Juni 2017

ENG: Sunny greetings from Ibiza, probably one of the cutest islands in Europe. We enjoy our time to the fullest so far and could already explore some nice spots and felt directly in love with the island’s old town, where we just had to take our first pictures. With regard to today’s city look, there is the main focus on the color „green“, in a way it is kind of a rediscovery for me but let me now introduce the corresponding pieces. In detail I have combined my beloved, green colored kimono with a casual jeans shorts from One Teaspoon and an one shoulder top from Edited the Label, that I also own in the variation beige/black striped. As matching color eye-catcher I have furthermore decided for my new GUCCI Marmont bag as well as the flip-flops from Givenchy and the black colored sunglasses from Dolce & Gabbana.
Now we are heading to Formentera, I am already super excited about the island and will take you with me via Instagram Stories.

What do you think about this outfit – do you like the green focus?
